pdf

The new School is designed with the aim of integrating the existing enviroment. For example, the rhythm of the windows in the facades responds to this integration and its uniformity to criteria of versatility and functional clarity. The idea is to provide connections and quality to the neighbourhood, a quiet and solid appearance, as a principle of urban respect.

A wide free space, the Patio, unifies the old and the new buildings. Circulation areas have natural light becoming places for life, to meet or to study. Compacity, flexibility, simple, economical and strong materials respectful with Nature, low maintenance surfaces or saving energy technology are widely used in the design process. The building follows the Thermal Activated Building System, TABS.
