Gloria’s proposal for the construction of several Lindenalleen in the neighbourhoods of Feldkirch has won the competition launched by the city to celebrate the centenary of the municipality: “Lindeanalleen for Feldkirch and its neighbourhoods”. My contribution to the Feldkirch One Hundred Open Call, which was selected along with two other art projects to mark the 100th anniversary of the creation of today’s Feldkirch.
I look forward to participating in the realisation of my proposal.
“When we carefully analyse a city plan, or rather, when we do so artificially by abstracting from all the information it offers us, we perceive forms that suggest ideas to us. Feldkirch’s PLan could be compared to the leaf of a tree, with its petiole, the main vessel and its various leaf surfaces, which in turn are criss-crossed by several leaf vessels. These shapes/logos impose themselves on our perception. Each district will become a leaf of the leaf with its respective centres and there, somewhere, the new Linden avenues will appear, which will speak to us of the future.”
Realisation: Finding a suitable location and planting the trees
Resources: People and trees
